Aardwolf

Aardwolf - the first in a series of 'alphabet animals' which the artist started at the beginning of 2025 - aiming to work quickly, to capture the essence of something. The aardwolf is part of the hyena family and is native to eastern and southern Africa - they are nocturnal insectivores and specialise in eating termites for which they have long sticky tongues. Probably the rarest characteristic of this lovely animal is that it is not considered an endangered species - praise be!
