Sunkissed Beech Tree
Sunkissed Beech Tree
Giclée prints available
The warmth of dappled sunlight through the branches of a beech tree in late spring. The tree seems to enjoy these transient experiences as it's leaves gently rustle in the breeze. A generous leaf canopy casts welcome shade on hot summer days and provides food and shelter for birds, insects and animals throughout the year. Beech trees are long lived and can be harvested for syrup like maple trees, but this one is left to live in peace. There is a smaller beech tree very nearby which always comes into leaf some time before this one - I've no idea why - maybe a younger sibling trying to race ahead?
